Have you ever dreamed of taking technologies literally out of this world? Does the idea of solving the greatest challenges in the commercial space industry excite you?
On March 27-28th, innovators from around the greater Houston area will convene for a 2 day event to innovate, disrupt, and create commercial space companies. Entrepreneurs can bring their own ideas or use licensable intellectual property from NASA’s IP portfolio to solve some of the largest problems facing the industry. Experienced and first-time founders will form teams, ideate, and pitch their ideas to renown technology entrepreneurs, including members of the innovation teams at NASA! As part of the event, teams will be taught critical startup methodologies, advised by experienced business leaders, and network with an entire community that dreams of shaping the commercial space industry.
March will be here soon, but in the meantime, here is a

The Chevron Technology Ventures Pitch Competition, in partnership with The Cannon, will be held on Thursday, September 28th.
For over 100 years, Chevron has been a leader in leveraging technology to reduce risk and optimize efficiency in our facilities. Facilities that span all portions of the energy value chain including distributed unconventional wells, offshore deepwater platforms, and complex processing facilities (i.e. refineries, LNG plants). But we also recognize the pace of change for technology is rapidly increasing and that our greatest potential lies in our ability to capitalize on these emerging technologies.
Chevron is looking for novel technologies or approaches that can be applied to transform how we conduct operations. With the goal of removing people from hazardous environments (e.g., confined spaces, working at heights), reducing the environmental impact (e.g., leak detection, emissions monitoring), and increasing the operational efficiency (e.g., autonomous operations, advanced inspection capabilities, predictive asset health capabilities) of our facilities in the decades to come.
Registered attendees will be able to take a tour of the Chevron workspaces within The Cannon West Houston, enjoy refreshments and network! Attendees must be 21 years or older to consume alcohol.
NOTE: RSVP HERE if you'd like to attend (This is not the pitch application)
