Houston, TX - May 18, 2021: The Cannon, a growing entrepreneurial community with three workspaces across the Houston area and a global digital community (Cannon Connect) with hundreds of startups and small businesses, announced a week-long slate of programming featuring chambers of commerce and corporate partners that are supporting businesses exploring expansion into new markets.
The programming will aim to help startups grow their footprints internationally, opening up more opportunities to grow revenue and find new partners and customers. With the inaugural event featuring presentations from experts in Europe, South America, Asia and more, there are sure to be events for entrepreneurs of all levels and industries.
"The Cannon was created to help develop Houston's startup environment, and a crucial component of this mission includes establishing international pipelines of connectivity, for two reasons, first, so we can create soft landings for international businesses who want to expand to our city, and second, so we can provide the resources our local companies need to make the right decisions about their own expansion when the time comes," said Lawson Gow, Founder of The Cannon.

The presenters include Texas Citizens Bank, TechnipFMC, Thompson and Knight and other partner organizations and topics include: how to business internationally, how to use trade credit insurance to debt finance international business, how to build an international business plan, and doing business in Chile, the UK, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Attendees will leave with a more complete understanding of what it takes to transition their business into international markets.
